Showing you have class by telling people you went to see the Sydney Symphony Orchestra play music by Gershwin only has credibility if you don't also point out that the event was free, attended by 100,000 other people and there were fireworks at the end.
Being able to sense danger is not a sixth sense, it is actually a result of a combination of the five refined over millions of years.
Life Lesson number twenty-eight: Love Actually is a good film.
Having a crush on a character from a book is weird and wrong... unless of course that character is Ginny Weasley in which case all is as it should be.
"May the Gnomes be Large and Plentiful" is an underused saying of well wishing.
Saying you have read the Silmarillion is a good way to sound especially well read... unless talking to an English Major. In which case they will look down on you for reading popularist literature by an author who writes in such a way that, "it takes you longer to read about the scenery than it takes for the characters to walk through it."
Breasts are overrated, a smile is where I am looking.
If you are in a busy car park and praising God when you find a good parking space, remember, chances are that the person in the car behind you has just blamed God for causing exactly the same event.
Love to you all,
David
PS (To bring back my saying of old) May the Gnomes be Large and Plentiful!

Gnomes are cool..
You have got me interested to see "Love Actually" partly because its got me confused as to what the film is about given the last number of films i've seen under similar names have turned out to be very strange indeed. In reference to the Gnomes.. and yes i'm a bit geeky but http://www.gnome.org/ is a site dedicated to Gnomes..
If you notice on the front page its got the slogan "Your gnome needs you!" and that isn't any more true than it is at the moment given the number of cats that are proving a menance to the gnome community.
